Dennis Welch, Sr, PE, MBA

President

What I Do:

I started with CRANSTON in 1993 as a project engineer and, over the last 30 years, I worked my way up to a project manager, Municipal Design Group manager, Private Development Design Group manager, director of Civil Engineering and now to my current position as president.

My Professional Experience:

I began my career working in heavy highway construction and then moved onto water/wastewater construction, before coming to CRANSTON.  During my career at CRANSTON, I have worked in both the public and private arenas, with the majority of my experience related to land development, water resource management, and transportation.

My Education:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree, Georgia Institute of Technology
  • Master of Business Administration degree, Augusta State University (now Augusta University)

Why “empowering communities to thrive” is so important to me:

Our mission of “empowering communities to thrive” is important to me because we are all part of a community, and there is a symbiotic relationship between businesses and their communities.  So, we cannot achieve our business and personal goals without a thriving community in which to work.
