Mitchell Murchison promoted to Principal

We are excited to announce that Mitchell Murchison, PE, has been promoted to Principal at CRANSTON.

Mitchell has been with CRANSTON since 2006, most recently as Design Group Manager, where he worked on a variety of projects for municipal clients. Most recently, he has focused on site development, utility system improvements and Department of Transportation roadway and trail system work.

“After working with the CRANSTON team for more than fifteen years, I am thrilled to take the next step in my career as Principal and am grateful for the opportunity,” stated Mitchell Murchison. “I look forward to leading the team in continued collaboration as we provide cutting-edge design solutions for our clients.”

Mitchell was the lead engineer on the Wrightsboro Road Contraflow Left Interchange and Pedestrian Improvements project, which won an Engineering Excellence Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Georgia.

Murchison received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Mercer University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. As a graduate of Leadership Augusta and of Leadership Columbia County, Murchison is involved in the local community and is dedicated to giving back. He has served on the board of directors of Augusta Children’s Chorale, various committees of First Baptist Church of Augusta, rider in Paceline and is an active member of the Augusta Exchange Club.
